Can CommCare scale across many countries?
Yes. NGOs run CommCare from a single pilot to programs spanning more than 40 countries and millions of records, all on one platform. International organizations like the International Rescue Committee use it as a common standard across every country office.
Does CommCare work offline at the frontline?
Yes. The mobile app is offline-first: field teams collect data without connectivity, and it syncs automatically when they reconnect, so service delivery and surveys work anywhere your programs operate.
Do we need engineers to run CommCare?
No. The no-code, drag-and-drop builder lets your own team design and update apps. Most NGOs manage the platform in-house across their country teams, and Dimagi Academy training is included.

Can we prove our impact to donors?
Yes. Real-time dashboards, data exports, DHIS2 integration, and PowerBI and Tableau support let you report monitoring and evaluation outcomes to donors and boards from one source of truth, without a separate analytics build.

Is our data secure, and who owns it?
Your organization owns its data. CommCare is SOC-2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and two-factor authentication.
